Често в работния език се използва евфемизми, които да замаскират реалните проблеми на организацията. Все пак някак неудобно е да си изкарваш кирливите ризи пред света. А “проблемите в комуникацията” са добро извинение за всякакъв род напрежение, спорове и дори лични караници.

Следната информация ми звучи достатъчни добре на английски – просто “lack of communication” е добре шлифован израз от корпоративния жаргон. Ето и какво всъщност значи той на практика:

LACK OF COMMUNICATION
Common combination of words in normal spoken language, in an organization it becomes a synonym for many other concepts. Estimates say that it is used the proper way in only about 5 to 8% of the cases. Most common „new meanings” are shown below with some examples:

Corporate talk: There were some lack-of-communication problems at the corporate meeting.
Translation: I saw chairs and plates flying.

Corporate talk: The information could not be sent due to a lack of communication during summer.
Translation: Someone was on holiday for 2 months, bastard.

Corporate talk: Yesterday night people went through a lack of communication process.
Translation: Everybody was drunk at the party.

Corporate talk: There’s a lack of communication between me and that girl.
Translation: She doesn’t wanna sleep with me.

Corporate talk: If you asked me what the problem was, i’d say ‘lack of communication’.
Translation: I didn’t understand your question.

Corporate talk: Is there a lack of communication between us?
Translation: I didn’t understand your answer.

Corporate talk: Why don’t we go to my room and talk about lack of communication?
Translation: Wanna fuck?

Corporate talk: There was a lack of communication between us.
Translation: You are an asshole.
